This symposium will refresh and update your knowledge in perioperative medicine. 

Ideally suited for perioperative clinicians who wish to keep abreast with the latest evidence and practical tools in the field of perioperative medicine.

 

Overview

The 2020 Perioperative Medicine Symposium “Exploring new heights of excellence in perioperative medicine” will be held from March 20-22 in Melbourne.

It will cover current best practice across a broad range of topics in perioperative medicine along with providing a range of workshops on the Friday and Sunday of the program.

Program

 

The scientific program will bel held at Peter Macallum Cancer Centre on Saturday March 21 and will cover a broad range of topics.

In addition to the symposium there will be a number of workshops held on Friday and Sunday at The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Austin Health, Melbourne. These are hospital based workshops covering key skills and scenarios in medicine. Workshops range from cardiac arrest, CPET/ Prehabilitation, simulation and transthoracic echo. Please refer to the attached program for the full list of workshops.

Speakers

We have four international keynote speakers attending; Professor Denny Levett, UK, Professor Adrian Gelb (US) and Dr PJ Devereaux (US) . Local speakers will include Professor David Story, Dr Lachlan Miles, and Dr Kate Burbury.

Workshops will be held on Friday March 20 and Sunday March 22 at both Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Austin Hospital.
